The manifesto

Imagine being told you can’t use a color anymore. Not because it’s dangerous or harmful. But simply because a company says it belongs to them.

Sounds absurd, right?

Yet, that's exactly what has been happening in Germany.

Deutsche Telekom has been challenging other companies over their alleged use of pink as a trademark for years. From startups to global brands, the message is always the same: stay away from "our" color.

And what's worse, they've been preventing companies from using many shades of pink. From bubble gum to lemonade pink, a broad palette has been fenced off.

But color isn't property. And no one should need permission to use it, create with it, or express themselves through it.

Pink can be a flower, a song, a sunset, or a feeling. It can be soft or loud, delicate or powerful. It can mean one thing to you and something completely different to someone else. And that's the beauty of it.

No permission. No boundaries. No fences. Just color.

Imagine if one company claimed blue. Another claimed green. Another, yellow. Soon, the whole rainbow would be held hostage. And then what? How is anyone supposed to express themselves in a world reduced to black and white — assuming those haven’t been claimed too?

No company should be able to put a fence around a color. Pink isn't ours, yours, or theirs. It belongs to everyone.

This is a call to all of you who think no one should own a color. Sign the manifesto. Spread the word. Let's stand up for freedom together.

We need your help. Let's set pink free.

Why this matters

Color is a common assetIt belongs to everyone

No person or company should be able to fence off a building block of human expression.

01

Color is common language

It exists in nature, culture, art, memory, and daily life. It belongs to everyone before it belongs to any brand.

02

Creativity needs open ground

When shared visual language is fenced off, creators and companies lose the freedom to make something new.

03

Freedom must stay free

Keeping one color open protects the principle that expression cannot be reduced to private territory.

Pink around the world

Pink is
everywhere

Pink is part of the identity of these great companies. None of them claim pink belongs to them.

Brand names show how widely pink is used. They do not imply any affiliation with or endorsement of the movement.
